School leader’s aid in holding the system of school is upright. School leaders form a representative link between teacher’s students and administration. Hence a strong force of leaders is required to undertake this prestigious task. How do we select these leaders? Naturally, it must include the will and wish of the stakeholders. Hence Vidyanjali conducts a systematic student council election process. 50% of the process takes into the consideration all student capabilities and achievements and the remaining 50% comprises of the word majority in the polling.

The process begins with call for nominations from students who wish to be leaders the field in nomination forms is scrutinized by the board of members for acceptance of candidature.

The candidates are required to propose their symbols for the election next, the prospective candidates are given time to exhibit the talent and present their campaigning speech. 50 points candidates are merit is based on talent. 15 Points canvassing speech 20 points choice and explaining the election symbol 10 points candidate achievements of certificate 10 points.

These 50 points are maintained confidential until completion of the polling. The candidates are given 12 hours of canvassing period during which they visit classes and woo the voters. Elections are conducted in a simulated environment to the general election procedure. Including printing of ballot papers, verification of empty ballot boxes by candidates, sealing of the ballot boxes, installation of the polling stations with the polling booths and maintaining confidentiality of the student’s choice. The entire process is executed by a team of Election Commission comprising of the president, chief election commissioner, deputy chief election commissioner, presiding officers, and returning officers. I take pride in sharing that Vidyanjali School Elections held successfully on 8th&9th July 2025 and the Investiture ceremony happened on 2nd August 2025.
